Episode 19 - CLAIRE OBERMARCK

"This time displacement, this movement of time, and situation, and surrounding, creates the 'what if' and it's the 'what if' is the key to the hearing aspects of storytelling. You know when Einstein asked how to create clever children he told them "They must listen to stories." And then they said yeah but how do you make them really clever like you? And he said "tell them to listen to more stories." Because its the 'what if'. You've got to have the eureka. The 'what if' moment comes from the unknown and the new possibility. So you only get that through being told things that you haven't perceived before, that you've got no awareness of."

Living the Dream during COVID - 19: In this episode I talk with writer and professional Storyteller Claire Obermarck. A traditional storyteller from the UK, we discuss how she became a storyteller, the importance of story in our current culture, and storytelling as a means for healing.
