Living the Dream Acting

"Living the Dream Acting...it doesn't matter how old we are, it doesn't matter what we look like, it doesn't matter if we've been in the game a long time or we're just getting into it. None of that stuff needs to hold us back from pursuing, and going after, and successfully creating those dreams for ourselves."    Living the Dream during COVID-19: In this short catch up episode I talk about resources, some good news, defining the dream, and upcoming guests.   "This time displacement, this movement of time, and situation, and surrounding, creates the 'what if' and it's the 'what if' is the key to the hearing aspects of storytelling. You know when Einstein asked how to create clever children he told them "They must listen to stories." And then they said yeah but how do you make them really clever like you? And he said "tell them to listen to more stories." Because its the 'what if'. You've got to have the eureka. The 'what if' moment comes from the unknown and the new possibility. So you only get that through being told things that you haven't perceived before, that you've got no awareness of."

"And that's like this time period that we're going through. What we're losing, hopefully the perspective that we're gaining, and the humanity and the empathy that we're gaining for people that are in more dyer straights than we are. That have less than we do. That maybe we come out of this understanding humanity a little bit better because we've been through something collective together."

"I really do write for the Spiritual aspect of it..I wish that the world in general would accept everybody because we're all the same on the inside." (On the inspiration for her song 'Survivors').

"Going on stage in front of a few hundred people is a completely unnatural situation...my instincts are always to run in the opposite direction, but you have to kind of lean into it, which I guess is why we love to do it I suppose."

"Being successful is largely about relationships that you cultivate with people...It's a business and people have to be reminded of who you are and you have to reach out to people...Life's short, the business is small, and your attitude has to be as on point as your acting has to be."
