September is National SUICIDE PREVENTION Awareness Month.

I TOOK THIS PICTURE...I took this picture 12 months ago from the recovery room of the hospital where I spent 10 hours waiting to find out if my son would be okay. Waiting to find out when I could take him home. Waiting for answers and filled with a million questions that I didn't have the day before. The next year would only answer some of those questions and we are still "dealing" with it all.
Hug your kids, tell them you love them even when they don't want to hear it. Listen, pay attention, watch their friends, be annoying about it. And pray. Pray to whoever you pray to and let's pray for each other.

Blogging is where I started... Back in 2009, I moved to Phoenix, Arizona. It was the closest "big city" I could get to. Recently separated, on a clear path to divorce, and with my 2 year old son and two cats in tow I made the leap. All I could think at the time was this was finally my chance. Finally my chance to have the life that I had always wanted. Free from the controlling aspects of my marriage, free from having to put any one else's needs first except myself and my son. Actress Post #7 - The Point of Acting Part 2

Okay, I'll admit it. I'm having doubts. How can I continue to afford these acting coach lessons? How can I possibly have enough time to work on my craft, my music, my dance when I'm constantly chasing a four year old around, working a full time job, barely getting enough sleep, let alone getting all the laundry done, and so on and son on and so on, ad nauseam. I'm feeling 'overwhelmed' is an understatement! Maybe I'm crazy and I'm still trying to pursue a path that's closed its door to me many, many years ago. If I'm not performing now, and I didn't move to NYC at 26 when I had the chance, and I'm still dreaming about performing more than doing it then maybe I'm just a dreamer, not a doer, and I need to stop pretending that things are ever going to be any better, and just accept that this is as good as it gets!
